- The Story
Also, before i go, i just have to get something off my chest. A LOT of people say that i have just copied Maxime's game by making TTR. In case you do not know what i'm talking about, i'm talking about Maxime's GTA: Driving fowards game from the frenchtouch aids awareness package. And to start, i'm gonna have to first say, that yes, the rumors are true. I did copy his game code, for a start, as i was new to LUA and didn't know where to start off with something this complicated. Copy and paste. edit graphics, and tadaa, you have TTR v0.1.

But, in this version, I intend to make up for what I have done, as I now know that it was wrong and that I shouldn't have done it. So, after quIte a while of coding now, It may not mean a lot to him, but I completely re-written the code by myself in this version, and although I didn't change much of it, I can now say that I did make it myself. I would firstly like to say sorry (publicly) to Maxime, as I know what I did was wrong. Also, on top of that, from now on I'm going to try and make people realize that this was not my orginal creation, nor my idea. All credit for the original code gos to Maxime, who I must also thank for not publically embarrasing me in the early days of TTR. Before I wrap up this little sob story that not many people have bothered to read, I would like to also say that I did not intend to set out and copy his work. My orginal plan was to copy his game and build upon it, version after version therefor working further away from the source code; or the copy of his work; that it once was.

- Reborn...?
Therefore, I dedicate TTR version 0.5 to Maxime, as it wouldn't be here without him, and also name this version TTR 'Reborn' as the code is completely my own now. I owe a lot of thanks to Maxime for keeping his cool for so long, after me taking his code without permission and calling it my own.

One last time; I am sorry, I do thank you for all that you've done, and I will always look up to you as a good level-headed coder. So, now that you know that, lets hear it for Maxime, the original creator TTR!

Well, thats about all i have to say. I hope that you enjoy this game, and that you have fun whilst playing it.

Thanks,
Created By Maxime

Welcome to the Readme file for TTR v0.5

First of all i'd like to thank you for reading this file, as many people simply overlook it when they are extracting the
game. So thanks for reading. If you want to go start to the guides, press ctrl and F and type in "shower".
Otherwise, just read on.

- Overview

Welcome to my 5th release of TTR.

If you don't want to read this and just want to download it to try it for yourself, I'd like to mention that is indeed
kxploited, so there is no damn luaplayer needed, and that it can be downloaded here:

Okay, so now its time for a brief overview of the Game:
TTR stands for Table Top Rally, which is like your average Car-Dodging style game plus one. Rather than having the same
different boring old layout everytime you play, there are new cars, interchangeable backgrounds and cool music.
If none of these appeal to you, everything I just mentioned can be custimized and changed with the minimum of effort,
within 5 minutes, to make the game look and feel just how it should. And with our new feature, custom cars, the game's
already limitless boundries are stretched even further.

This is basically the perfect game for the office, on the road, or having a wee, for an addictive fast-paced thrill game as
you swere and dodge to avoid a firey death at the hands of oncoming traffic. Read on to find out more.

Phew, you'd think i'm actually trying to sell you this thing!

          GUIDES
-----------------------------

Hello and welcome to the Guides of TTR.
I thought i'd have a "shower" but i wrote these instead!

-----------------------------
       CUSTOM CARS
-----------------------------

By far the easiest guide yet.

1. Open up any of the cars of the game begining with "C", for example, "C12"

2. Simply draw or paste the image you want over it, making sure that the background is white. There is no specific size
restriction, but try too keep ir small enough to fit in the garage along with the other cars.

3. Save it, and the game will do the rest of the work for you.

Notes:
1. If you see a white box around your car then you will need to make it transparent. This CAN'T be done in paint!

2. If you can't remove the white box, then create a custom terrain which is just a plain white background. The custom terrain
guide can be found below this sentence.

-----------------------------
     CUSTOM TERRAINS
-----------------------------

A little harder, but no transparency is needed.
Can be done all in paint.

1. Find any image you want. yes any at all.
2. Re-size the image to 480x272 pixels.
3. Paste the image over and of the picture files starting with "BG".
4. Save it, and open the icon file with THE SAME LETTER as the bg you made. (EG. if you overwrited BGT then open IconT)
5. Resize the same image you used for you background to a size of 144x101 pixels.
6. Paste your image over the icon.
7. Save it as the same name.
8. Check your finished products, you should have IconX and BGX (Replace "X" with the letter you used!)

Notes:
1. Only the background is essential for you car to run on. The icon makes it so that you can see which one it is on the
selection screen.

2. You can only have 4 backgrounds at a time, no more.

3. The four Terrains (BG + Icon) are called X, S, T, and O. These are the only letters that will work.

4. If you arn't createing an Icon, then these are for what each Letter stands for:
O = Circle, X = Cross, S = Square, and T = Triangle.
For example if i saved my background as BGT i'd have to press Triangle on the selection screen to choose it.

-----------------------------
       CUSTOM MUSIC
-----------------------------

By far the hardest thing to do, but with some good effort and ard work can be achieved.

1. Get the file you want to play, and check its extension, or file type.
2. It should be called "example.wav". If it isn't you need to conevert it, which i can't help you with.
3. If it is .wav, check the size. It has to be under 500kb.
4. If it is under 500kb and is a wav sound, then rename it to title.wav to play it at the title screen, or road.wav to play
it whilst racing.
5. Your done. check that it works and away you go.

Notes:
1. This is very hard to do due to the spefifacations, and it isn't my fault, its just that LUA player doesn't support any
larger files. Sorry!
2. Don't be put off if you can't do this. try the other guides, which are much easier than this. I suggest custom terrains.

- FAQ

Q: The game crashes after a while of play. Why?
A: There is memory limitations in lua, so it will eventually run out of memory what with loading all the images, ect. Just
reboot the game and start again.

Q: I am using a garage Truck or long veichle/I created a custom car, but other cars go through me sometimes. Why?
A: Your car is too big. try resizing it. This also happens with some trucks, as they are a little large. Can't be helped.

Q: I can see a white box around my custom car. Suggestions...?
A: The image is not transparent. Transparency cannot be made inb paint, so try some other programs. if nothing works, then
try making a completely white terrain, which makes the white box disappear.

Q: I can't crate custom music, help!
A: The music is by far the hardest thing to create, as their are lots of spefifacations. The mnusic isn't really important,
but if it really bothers me you can basically turn off the sound or contact me for assisstance.

Q: Theres a glitch in the game/Theres a bug in the game/You're an Idiot.
A: I'm only human, everyone makes mistakes. Please contact me and i'll try and fix it.

Q: This doesn't answer my question, help!
A: Read the contact me section and get in touch. ask me anything to do with the game then.
